Ingredients:
4 glasses rice
1 medium-sized cabbage, chopped and sauteed
400 g minced meat
1 medium onion, grated
Leafy vegetables such as tarragon, basil and dried dill
3 tablespoons pea powder
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Oil
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt and black pepper powder as per taste
1/2 teaspoon dried lime powder
directions:
In a frying pan, put sauteed chopped cabbage and sprinkle with salt and pepper as well as dried lime powder. Also add in tomato paste and lemon juice and fry 1 to 2 minutes.
In a pot, pour some water and add in 2 tablesppons salt and 1 tablespoon turmeric. Set it over the heat and bring to a boil. Then put in rice. Strain rice and put a layer of rice followed by a layer of sauteed mixture as well as chopped leafy vegetables. Cover the pot and allow till well-cooked. In a mixing bowl, put minced meat, pea powder, turmeric and salt and mix well. Knead well with your palm. Make a couple of meatballs and fry in oil in a pan. Once rice is ready, transfer into a platter and top with meatballs. Serve hot. Bon appetit!
